2023 Results

Congratulations to all 2023 schools and students who participated in the School Merino Wether Competition.

This year, the 2023 Merino SA School Merino Wether Competition (SMWC), saw Forty South Australian Schools compete against one another with 77 teams of three Merino Wether lambs.

The SMWC provides opportunities for students to have contact with many aspects of the Merino sheep industry from Stud and Commercial Breeders, Stock Agents, Wool Buyers, through to Processors. It aims to practically educate and engage students on the commercial production of Merino sheep by giving them a memorable hands-on experience, covering a broad spectrum of sheep and wool production skills.
